Tuesday, President Trump formally announced that he has made the decision to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal, which former president Barack Obama had implemented in 2015.

Obama reacted in swift condemnation of the decision, claiming the deal was working and said Iran is complying with the agreement. He called Trump’s decision “misguided” and a “serious mistake.”

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton slammed the decision as well, in a rant on Twitter Tuesday night.

Iran reacted in outrage, and France, Germany and the U.K. issued a joint statement opposing Trump’s decision as well.

Among lawmakers and U.S. citizens, the reaction was mixed, with some in support and others opposed to President Trump’s decision.
