Alec Baldwin returned to Saturday Night Live over the weekend, still eking out a few laughs for his impersonation of President Donald Trump.
“Hello, yes, what a beautiful day. Who here loves Trump? I know this guy over here loves Trump,” Baldwin said, as cameras zoomed in on the smoldering corpse of a fallen soldier, possibly an over-the-line reference to fallen Navy SEAL Ryan Owens.
Baldwin told “Extra” host Mario Lopez last week that he doesn’t plan to continue his skits of Trump much longer, but added, “The maliciousness of this White House has people very worried,” as if to leave the door open.
In another scene from last night’s show, actress Scarlett Johansson portrayed Ivanka Trump in a mock fragrance commercial. The connotation here seemed to be the perceived ineffectualness of one of the world’s most influential women. “Complicit — the fragrance for the woman who could stop all of this, but won’t,” the narrator in the skit said.
