President Trump gave a speech about combatting terrorism to Muslim leaders during his trip to Saudi Arabia on Sunday.
The speech was read from a teleprompter; President Trump stayed on message the entire time.
Critics of the speech said it is a contradiction to the message he shared during his 2016 campaign. They point to him leaving out the words, “radical Islamic terrorism.” During his campaign, Trump claimed that by not saying the words “radical Islamic terrorism,” the problem cannot be solved.
Others are praising the speech saying it was strong and to the point. They see it as a unifying message of coming together as one to destroy modern-day terrorism.
