POLL: Have You Lost Relationships Over Your Support for Trump?

No longer is it as easy as it once was to agree to disagree over politics. The urgency of our nation’s problems precludes that option, as many see it.

Social media, as one factor, has heightened the effects of sharing one’s thoughts and opinions, even about our country’s state of affairs.

Seeing the political views and stories that people choose to share when feelings are so volatile can make it hard to maintain friendships with people who fall on the other side of the aisle, even if only a distant acquaintance.

A poll conducted by Monmouth University before the election laid the situation out pretty clearly, finding that a full 70% of American voters said that last year’s presidential campaign brought out the worst in people.

The poll also found that 7% of Americans had lost a friend over the election, and that was early in the game!

Please take our poll — We’d like to know how you are faring and what effect your support for Trump has had.
