On Tuesday, it was announced by The Wall Street Journal that Special Counsel Robert Mueller had impaneled a Washington, D.C., grand jury for his probe of Russia’s interference in the 2016 election.
In an interview Tuesday afternoon, Fox News legal analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano explained that grand juries are powerful investigative tools that allow prosecutors to subpoena documents, put witnesses under oath, and seek indictments if there is evidence of a crime.
Napolitano pointed out that Mueller has probably found something into which he wants to dig further. It doesn’t mean what he found points to illegal activity, but, then again, it doesn’t mean it is not illegal.
Either way, the grand jury signals that Mr. Mueller’s inquiry will likely continue for months.
Assuming the worst, which is that Mueller has found something “bad,” who do you think is the target? In others words, who does it connect to?
