POLL: Should Obama be on Mt. Rushmore?

Mount Rushmore National Memorial is a sculpture carved into the granite face of Mount Rushmore, located in the Black Hills in Keystone, South Dakota. It features the 60-ft. sculpted heads of four United States presidents: George Washington (1732–1799), Thomas Jefferson (1743–1826), Theodore Roosevelt (1858–1919), and Abraham Lincoln (1809–1865).

It may also feature former President Barack Obama in the future.

The removal of statues, monuments, and sculptures of historical figures has become a popular trend these past few days. While many are oriented around Confederate figures, some are heading into even more troubling territory, such as one pastor calling for the eradication of Washington’s name from a popular community park.

DML discussed the idea that the only way to please the begrudging left is to get Obama’s face on Mt. Rushmore. He discussed this in length in one of his email responses and on his Walk & Talk Wednesday.

To quell the left’s rhetoric and actions in the removal of history, should the U.S. govt. add Obama’s face to Mt. Rushmore, or leave the treasured national monument as is?
