In a sudden and unexpected move, the Deputy Attorney General appointed a special prosecutor on Wednesday to continue the investigation into Russia’s involvement with influencing the 2016 election, and whether the Trump campaign, and Trump himself, colluded with the Russians. The prosecutor appointed is Robert Mueller. He is a well respected member of the intelligence community and praised by both sides of the aisle.
Our very own DML believes this is a good thing, he says it allows President Trump to move on with making America great again, and if found innocent, which he believes he will be, the “Russia” narrative is dead forever and Trump is proven to be honest. Meanwhile, political analyst Dick Morris believes this is a bad thing. He says the special prosecutor will dig up things to justify his presence and need for budget, team, etc. Morris believes the probe is nonsense, but that it will derail the Trump agenda because GOP members will fear working with the president.
