Ten House Republicans joined all House Democrats on Wednesday in voting to impeach President Donald Trump, claiming he incited the riot on Jan. 6, as hundreds of people stormed the U.S. Capitol building after Trump spoke at a rally in D.C.
The riot occurred as Congress was in session to formally certify the Electoral College votes for Joe Biden.
The 232 to 197 vote to impeach Trump on Wednesday made him the first U.S. president in history who has been impeached two times.
Here are the 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach Trump:
House Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney (Wyo.)
Rep. Anthony Gonzalez (Ohio)
Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler (Wash.)
Rep. John Katko (N.Y.)
Rep. Adam Kinzinger (Ill.)
Rep. Peter Meijer (Mich.)
Rep. Dan Newhouse (Wash.)
Rep. Tom Rice (S.C.)
Rep. Fred Upton (Mich.)
Rep. David Valadao (Calif.)
Cheney, the third-ranking Republican in the House, claimed on Tuesday that President Trump Trump “summoned this mob, assembled the mob and lit the flame of this attack.”
The House Freedom Caucus has called for Rep. Cheney to resign for her position as the House Republican Conference Chair, saying she is “not representing the conference and she’s not representing the Republican ideals.”
