POLL: Do you support a skills-based immigration system

Late on Tuesday night, Dennis Michael Lynch reported about a bill being presented later today by two GOP senators.  The bill calls for a new immigration system based on skills.

The bill is designed to lower the number of legal immigrants the U.S. takes in each year.

Currently, the U.S. takes in more than 1,000,000 people legally.  Most of the newcomers are part of the family reunification program, aka chain migration.

With this new bill, chain migration would come to an end.  A person would be permitted into the country based on their skill set, versus how it is today.  Today, immigration is mostly based on who it is an immigrant is related to.

Would you support a skill-based immigration system?
