In the interview with Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly that aired Sunday afternoon, President Trump said he has spoken with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto about his country’s problem with drug cartels.
Trump believes drug cartels are Mexico’s biggest problem, which also affects the United States due to our proximity with our neighbor to the south.
“You have a bunch of bad hombres down there,” Trump said to Peña Nieto in the call.
Trump also indicated to O’Reilly that Mexico would be willing to accept U.S. military help in the effort to eradicate the blight of cartels.
“We have to do something about the cartels. I did talk to him about it. I want to help him with it,” Trump said.
