It started off with a scathing interview with The New York Times. The president sat down last week with reporters from the paper he calls “failing” and “fake” to rip into Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
The president told The New York Times he would have never of hired Sessions had he known he would later recuse himself from the Russia investigation.
Then the president doubled down on Monday when he called Jeff Sessions “beleaguered.” According to reports, Sec of State Tillerson is upset over the tweet and is considering leaving his position with the administration.
Today, the president pushed it even further with more public announcements about Sessions, and none of them are pleasant (see them here).
Some people think Trump’s tweets about Sessions are fantastic, as they have flipped on their praise of Sessions due to his recusal. Others are saying they have lost faith in Trump because he is attacking a member of his own team in public.
