After the shooting of Congressman Steve Scalise (R-LA) and five others Wednesday morning, members of Congress became united following the horrific event.
With Scalise in critical condition, and the anti-Trump shooter being confirmed dead, House leaders Paul Ryan and Nancy Pelosi gave rousing speeches of Congress uniting as a “family” under one roof. Their speeches were met with thunderous applause from Congress members.
However, as our own DML mentioned during his broadcast Wednesday, the last time Congress was this unified was during the aftermath of 9/11. The question now remains following this quick, swift yet thankfully none-casualty event: will Congress remain united, or will they fall back into their dysfunctional political rivalries?
