Last night the GOP came away with two huge victories in the south. In Georgia, Republican candidate Karen Handel easily beat Democrat newcomer Jon Ossoff by more than ten thousand votes in the special election for the House seat left vacant by Secretary of Health and Human Services Tom Price.
In South Carolina, the same scenario occurred. The Republican candidate, Ralph Norman, easily beat his Democratic opponent, Archie Parnell, in another special election for the House seat left by Rep. Mick Mulvaney.
These two wins indicate two noteworthy factors: First, the media’s depiction of the anti-Trump movement is not as strong as they portray it to be. Second, the 2018 midterms can be easily won by Republicans if they can get President Trump’s agenda through.
The question becomes: Will these two election wins rally Republican lawmakers to better assist Trump in making America great again? Vote and leave us your thoughts.
