The president is now in China. He is speaking with leaders about an array of topics, including trade deals, cyber attacks, and the relationship between China and North Korea.
Trump touts his ability to get deals done. Although that hasn’t been the case in Washington, D.C., he has been successful in doing deals overseas. One example is his push for countries to pay their fair share to NATO.
That said, North Korea continues to push hard-nosed rhetoric, promising to fire nuclear missiles at the U.S. if Trump remains in office.
Although North Korea’s threats to America are nothing new, the rogue nation has developed a nuclear capability that keeps many U.S. leaders up at night, including General John Kelly who now serves as the White House chief of staff.
Most political experts will agree on one thing, and that is in order to stop N. Korea from launching a missile at the U.S. or one of our allies, Trump will need the assistance of China.
