Hip hop singer Aaron Carter, known famous for his “I want candy” hit, was arrested Saturday night in Georgia.
Habersham County Sheriff’s Office charged the 29-year-old with a DUI and possession of marijuana. Carter’s girlfriend Madison Parker who was in the passenger seat, was also arrested.
Reportedly Carter refused to take a breathalyzer test on the scene and had less than one ounce of weed on him. In addition, he was charged with possession of drug-related objects, and obstruction of law enforcement officers.
Carter was supposed to perform at a concert in Kansas City Saturday night, but hours before his arrest, he tweeted an apology saying he was not going to make the show because of “transportation issues.”
