A porn star shooting an underwater ad for a sex cam company was viciously attacked by a shark, leaving her maimed.

Molly Cavalli was all smiles before the attack occurred, even dancing before she was submerged in a protective cage.

While filming a promo for an adult entertainment company, Cavalli was suspended inside an underwater shark cage, wearing a revealing white one-piece swimsuit which apparently attracted the attention of a 10-foot lemon shark. From there, things quickly became terrifying for the young actress.

Moments after the shark approached the cage, it bit into her ankle, leaving behind a gaping, bloody gash.

Cavalli was heard screaming in agony and gasping for breath while struggling to get back on board the boat as her blood tinted the water around her.

The shoot was immediately aborted and the actress was rushed to a nearby hospital where she received 20 sutures in her ankle, reports The Daily Mail.

The injured porn star issued this statement following the incident:

“I want to thank my fans for their outpouring of support as I heal my foot following the shark bite. Luckily it only required 20 stitches. I’m fine. It’s not that bad. I had a great experience anyway and now I have a story to tell forever.”

Darren Press, vice president of CamSoda, the adult entertainment company that Cavalli was representing in the ad, told reporters that she had been dangling her foot outside of the cage, which allowed the shark open access to attack to her.

Press added that lemon sharks are usually “docile and relatively harmless.”
