The mainstream media continues to pound on Trump for his “lack of response” to the events that took place in Charlottesville, Virginia.
The constant media pounding led many CEOs who were part of the president’s business councils to resign, forcing Trump to disband the groups altogether. Now, pressure is being mounted on members of the president’s council on diversity.
MSNBC held an entire discussion panel about the council on Wednesday, with many panelists saying the group should disband.
Javier Palomarez, president of the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) and an advisor to the National Diversity Coalition for Trump, told MSNBC he would stay on the diversity council. Although he called out Trump for his lack of a proper response, he said he wants to stay connected to the White House so he can serve the millions of Latinos who have businesses in America.
Pastor Scott, who is African American and is also a member, said the following on Thursday: “We have Ku Klux Klan rallies for the last umpteen years in different American states, every year, that don’t get attention. They get this attention now because Trump is the president.”
James Murdoch, the CEO of 21st Century Fox and son of conservative media magnate Rupert Murdoch, slammed President Trump’s response to the violence in Charlottesville last weekend and pledged a $1 million donation to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL).
