In an attempt to explain the new American Health Care Amendment, radiologist Nicole Saphier of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center separates fact from fiction in the following video, which aired on Fox and Friends on Sunday.
In the video, Saphier says that pre-existing conditions will still be covered, although states can apply for waivers.
“We’re taking the control out of Washington and putting it back in the hands of individuals and states,” she explained, noting that the new bill would provide “more coverage options” so that consumers do not get stuck “shouldering other people’s expenses.”
