President Trump Will Visit Vital Air Force Base

This week, President Donald Trump will visit the MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida.

MacDill Air Force Base is the designated headquarters for the U.S. Central Command and U.S. Special Operations Command.

Trump is expected to join troops for lunch and deliver a speech amongst other officials.

Other officials expected to attend meetings at MacDill are Gen. Joseph Dunford, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Michael Flynn, Trump’s national security adviser.

Trump spent the weekend at his estate in Palm Beach with First Lady Melania Trump, who joined the president in Florida to watch the Super Bowl game on Sunday. This was Trump’s first weekend away from Washington since taking office.

After the visit to MacDill Air Force Base, Trump plans to meet with Gov. Rick Scott before heading back to the White House.
