Presidential Candidate Facing Impending Charges of Vandalism

Green Party presidential nominee and “Bernie Sanders Plan B” option Jill Stein is facing possible charges over trespassing and vandalizing construction equipment at the North Dakota. In a recorded video, Stein is seen in shabby clothing along with protesters, spray painting in red “I approve this message” on a bulldozer at the Standing Rock location in North Dakota.

Stein quickly took to social media to lash out at the possible charges. On Facebook, she wrote, “The state of North Dakota may charge me with vandalism for painting a bulldozer. Will they charge the oil company that bulldozed the sacred burial grounds of the Standing Rock Sioux?” Then she also put out the following tweet:

The company building the pipeline, Energy Transfer Partners, has yet to comment on the Stein controversy. However, Sheriff Kyle Kirchmeier of Bismarck, North Dakota, immediately put out a statement that Stein will most likely be facing charges.
