White House Press Secretary Sanders took to Twitter to voice her disgust over an article written by a reporter for the NY Times Monday night.

The article points out the Judge Brett Kavanaugh was questioned by police in 1985 for an incident in which he allegedly threw ice at a man during an argument. According to the police report, Kavanaugh did not admit to throwing the ice, nor was any arrests made.

The writer of the article was slammed by Sanders who claims there is a motive behind the report. She tweeted: “Democrats desperately attack Judge Kavanaugh for throwing ice during college. What motivated New York Times reporter to write this ridiculous story? Throwing ice 33 years ago, or her opinion of Judge Kavanaugh in July?”

Included with her tweet is a tweet from the writer in July 2018. The tweet from Emily Bazelon reads: “As a @YaleLawSch grad & lecturer, I strongly disassociate myself from tonight’s praise of Brett Kavanaugh. With respect, he’s a 5th vote for a hard-right turn on voting rights and so much more that will harm the democratic process & prevent a more equal society. 1/2”
