Ivanka Trump, along with husband Jared Kushner and children, is moving to Washington D.C. as her father draws closer to becoming President of the United States. However, her move to the D.C. may start off bumpy due to a group of protesters who are planning demonstrations outside her home.
The protesters from the Halt Action group have labeled the event “Help Ivanka Move” for Monday, January 16. The public fuss was announced on their Instagram page, “Dear Ivanka” which has nearly 20,000 followers.
The progressive organizers made a call to action on social media for others to participate in the protest by bringing signs charged at Ivanka, Jared, and President-elect Trump.
Posters and images promoting the protest display boxes with inscribed phrases such as “abortion rights,” “freedom of speech” and “nuclear regulation.” According to a statement by Halt Action, “the boxes represent freedoms that people are fearful of losing.”
