Protesters Set Limousine on Fire


Merely a few blocks from President Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony in the area of 12th and K streets, angry and disenfranchised protesters were destroying storefronts and even set a parked limousine on fire in retaliation against Trump.

The string of vehicular-targeted protests began at around 4:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon. Numerous cars had their windows broken by protesters.

A plethora of obtained video footage shows a limo along the road being torched and set on fire, as black smoke began to cloud the streets. It was not until nearly 5:00 p.m. that firefighters managed to get the escalating arsonist situation under control.

In the last 24 hours, police have arrested more than a hundred protesters near the inauguration ceremony and festivities. Many of the authoritative officers were dressed in riot gear, though D.C. Interim Police Chief Peter Newsham claims a significant portion of the protests were peaceful.
