At the International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg this week, Russian President Vladimir Putin issued a challenge to business owners in the United States. He called on them to cooperate with President Trump in repairing relations between the U.S. an Russia.
“Help us restore normal political dialogue,” Putin said, according to Reuters. “I ask you on behalf of Russia and I address the American side: help the new president and the new administration.”
Putin has repeatedly shown support for President Trump, and has denied all allegations from Democrats suggesting that the Russian government was responsible for the cyber hacking into the DNC, or that Russia interfered into the U.S. presidential election in any way.
He shot down Megyn Kelly’s questions on the matter Friday, and pointed out that a hacker can make it look like anyone did it.
Putin also slammed Clinton and the DNC, comparing them to anti-Semites who try to blame Jews for their problems.
