On Friday, police responded to an alarm at a Red River Federal Credit Union, where they determined that an entire ATM machine had been stolen.
Police determined that the theft from the financial institution is part of a quadruple theft in northeast Texas which has involved a stolen rental truck, a sky-lift taken from a construction site, and now the ATM that was removed, along with an undetermined amount of money inside.
Investigators believe the stolen sky-lift was used to remove the ATM from its footings and that the ATM was then loaded into the stolen rental truck.
Texarkana police have made no immediate arrests in the ATM theft, nor did they release any further information on the ongoing investigation.
