Ranchers challenge Nancy Pelosi over border wall

On Tuesday morning, two Arizona ranchers went on “Fox & Friends” to set the record straight with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.

Pelosi argued in a recent interview on “Meet the Press” that President Trump’s proposed U.S.-Mexico border wall is “immoral,” “expensive,” and “unwise,” and that he is expressing a sign of weakness. “Democrats do not support the wall,” Pelosi said. “Republicans in the border states do not support the wall.”

However, rancher John Ladd says there has been a 90 to 95 percent drop in illegal immigration crossings and that this is a direct result of Trump being elected. “With that activity, it’s almost nonexistent to see an illegal anymore,” Ladd said.

Ladd’s associate, rancher Fred Davis, also agrees. “The wall itself is just a tool in the kit, but you’ve gotta put boots on the ground to go with it to make it effective,” Davis said. “And that’s been part of the problem in places they have a wall now.”
