Rev. Al Sharpton took a swipe at President Trump Friday during Aretha Franklin’s funeral, once against imploring the president to learn the meaning of the Queen of Soul’s most famous lyric: “Respect.”

“You know, the other Sunday on my show, I misspelled ‘Respect,’ and a lot of y’all corrected me,” Sharpton said during the service in Detroit, Mich. “Now, I want y’all to help me correct President Trump to teach him what it means.”

The article goes on to state the following:

“And I say that because when word went out that Ms. Franklin passed, Trump said ‘she used to work for me,'” the MSNBC host continued. “No, she used to perform for you. She worked for us. Aretha never took orders from nobody, but God.”

DML News offers the following information published by PageSix.com:

Stevie Wonder took a moment out of his speech at Aretha Franklin‘s funeral on Friday to blast President Trump — saying the US needs to “make love great again” because “black lives do matter.”

“All lives do matter,” added the legendary singer. “And if we love God then we know truly it is our love that will make things better.”

The article goes on to state the following:

Wonder, 68, received a standing ovation from many people at Greater Grace Temple for his comments.

“What needs to happen today not only in this nation, but throughout the world, is that we need to make love great again,” he told the crowd. “When we make love great again, that is what Aretha said throughout her life. Through the pain, she gave us the joy and said, ‘Let’s make love great again.’”

  1. All these Trump hating animals are disgusting….and yes, they are animals…or at least they act like animals…no respect for the President and or others…you have to earn respect…they will never earn respect from civil people acting and talking the way they do. They are a disgrace to their entire race!

  2. al sharpton hides greed and hate hiding behind the cloth. Aretha Franklin God Bless her deserves better than having Sharpton at her funeral. He owes over 4.5 million dollars so how much did he make to owe so much. Who donated to him to earn most of that money. They weren’t millionares for the most part. He is a thief hiding behind the cloth. To openly disgrace such a great person at her funeral shows how despiteful he really is. When he passes and goes to be judged for all his hypocracy he will learn how to spell RESPECT in hell.

  3. A funeral is not the place for political discourse. It is disrespectful. Not surprising, though nowadays they make everything anti-Trump. It is ridiculous you can’t get away from it and just watch something with comedy anymore because there no longer is. There is a time and a place for this and a funeral is not the place.

  4. Sharpton owes huge amounts of money on his taxes. He should be in prison for tax evasion or something. True, a funeral is not a place to talk politics.
