The Black Lives Matter activist who was seen storming the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 was charged, the Department of Justice said Thursday.

A new court filing says John Earle Sullivan, 26, told FBI agents last week that he was at the Capitol when the breach happened. He said he entered through a window that had been broken out. He also said he was present when Ashli Babbitt, an Air Force veteran, was shot dead by a U.S. Capitol Police officer as she tried to climb into the House Speaker’s Lobby through a window.

The article goes on to state the following:

Sullivan showed agents some of the footage he captured inside the building, which he and others entered illegally.

In earlier interviews with the media after the Jan. 6 riot, Sullivan claimed he often attends protests just “to record what’s going on. “It’s just recording, solely, and not being active in it,” he claimed.

He has shared a number of video clips on his Twitter page, under the name “Jayden X,” of footage he filmed during the mayhem, repeatedly claiming it’s all being done by “Trump supporters.”

However, according to a sworn affidavit filed on Wednesday, the Justice Department has alleged Sullivan was a participant, not just there to film.

In video footage filmed by Sullivan, he is heard saying, “There are so many people. Let’s go. This ****  is ours! **** yeah,” “We accomplished this ****. We did this together. **** yeah! We are all a part of this history. Let’s burn this ***** down.”

In the footage, Sullivan was heard telling others to climb a wall to invade the building. At one point inside the building, he says, “We gotta get this **** burned.”

According to a Fox News report, Sullivan is the founder of a Utah-based group called Insurgence USA.

Sullivan was busy uploading video footage and posting to his Twitter account as recently as Friday morning, but he was taken into custody later on Friday by the Tooele County Sheriff’s Office in Utah, and is being held under a U.S. Marshall’s warrant.

Below are more video clips he posted, along with additional details.

In the following video clip, Sullivan is heard trying to convince a police officer to go home, because “there are so many people out there, I don’t want you to get hurt.”

Sullivan retweeted a video which was shared by Ian Cheong, which Sullivan himself had originally posted, of the moment Air Force veteran Ashli Babbitt was shot and killed while trying to barge through the broken glass.

He provides a link to the full video:

Sullivan later shares a video of himself being detained by police, and says he was later released with no charges filed.  This reportedly occurred on Jan. 7.

Fox13Now reported that Sullivan has now been arrested and charged with:

  • One count of knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority
  • One count of violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds
  • One count of interfering with law enforcement engaged in the lawful performance of their official duties incident to and during the commission of civil disorder

Fox News reported on Thursday, Jan. 14:  He was arrested by the FBI and remains in custody in Toeele County, in his home state of Utah, on a U.S. Marshals Service hold request.

In August 2020, Sullivan gave a speech in BLM Plaza in DC, where he identified himself as being part of an insurgency group & calls for a violent left-wing revolution.

In the video, Sullivan says, “We … about to burn this s— down,. We gotta … rip Trump right out of that office right over there. F***g pull him out of that s**t. We ain’t about … waiting until the next election… we’re about to go get that m****f***r.” Then he revved up the crowd with a chant of, “It’s time for revolution!”

Again on Jan. 6 during the riot at the Capitol, Sullivan is again heard using the same phrase, “We gotta get this shit burned.”

  1. What?! BLM?! Disguising himself as a patriot to incite the crowd? Gee, are they gonna get the other guy who changed. Clothes IB the stairwell, but was using his helmet to break the glass? It took a reporter from JAPAN to point it out because our own media sucks.

    • Of course everybody else noticed the double standard with the BLM activist tweeting hate and keeping his account open. While Trump asks for peaceful assembly and gets dropped. But then I forget, it Double Standard day every day in Washington.

  11. This riot was staged NOTHING to do by President Trump but created to be used against Trump. The whole riot has Dems/radicals/Soros all over it. Pelosi apparently knew what was coming down she abandoned her office just prior to her office being rioted. I feel sure she had a lot to do with planning and orchestrating these rioters dress Attire which indicated they were protesters for Trump when in fact they were rioters against Trump.

    • I am more convinced than ever that these were NOT Trump supporters, the FBI had heard chatter about this and sat back didn’t do 💩, probably under direct orders from Pelosi, Schumer and McConnell! Pelosi won’t admit she was wrong and neither will the RINOs that voted for impeachment

  18. First of all I am sure the Democrats will say that Sullivan is a radical who does not represent BLM. Second, BLM does not work alone. I was waiting to find out how many BLM and Antifa activists would be found after arrests were made. More to come I am sure.

  19. One look at Sullivan is worth a thousand words. He obviously doesn’t have one ounce of intellect or integrity about him. He is a perfect fit for BLM and/or Antifa groups who wreck nothing but hate, havoc and destruction wherever they show up in our country.
