The Department of Justice has tapped an outside prosecutor to review the case of former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, Fox News has learned.

A senior Justice Department official told Fox News on Friday that Jeff Jensen, the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri, has been assigned to Flynn’s case.

The article goes on to state the following:

Jensen will be working hand-in-hand with the lead prosecutor of Flynn case, Brandon Van Grack, according to the official.

Fox News producer Jake Gibson tweeted, “The DOJ has tapped an outside prosecutor to review the case of President Trump’s former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, according to a senior Department of Justice Official. Jeff Jensen, a prosecutor from the US Attorney’s Office in St. Louis, has been assigned.”

Citizens United responded to the report, tweeting, “Flynn committed no crime. What happened to him is the crime.”
