Employees at the online furniture retailer Wayfair are protesting after they claim the company refused to cease conducting business with immigration detention centers.

Workers announced Tuesday they plan to walk out Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.

The article goes on to state the following:

“Wayfair sold beds to furnish border camps; 547 employees signed a petition to ask that we cease all business with border camps; CEO said no,” employees under the Twitter handle Wayfair Walkout said.

The protesting employees are also asking that Wayfair donate all profits from the sale to the nonprofit organization Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services (RAICES).

Democrats and pro-immigrant advocates have slammed the “inhuman” conditions illegal alien children are enduring, but Wayfair employees are angry that their company is providing beds for the detention center, saying in one tweet, “Everyone deserves a home they can feel safe and loved in, especially children, no matter where they’re from.”

According to the report, 547 Wairfair employees signed a petition, demanding their company cease to do business with border camps.

Socialist Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez praised the move by Wayfair employees, tweeting: “This is what solidarity looks like – a reminder that everyday people have real power, as long as we’re brave enough to use it.”

Many Wayfair customers have responded:

One person noted the irony, as no beds for migrants will mean many will have to sleep on the floor.

  1. If they walk out, they are quitting. I’m sure there are people that will take the job’s and be happy to be working!! A O C wants more unemployed people for her socialist party!! Maybe she should give her money to the illegal’s or maybe the people that quitting!!!

  2. Who’s donating and giving beds to our own citizens that are living on our streets..????…. I don’t give a dam about any one of these illegals that have come here illegally and broken our laws…. Why should they live in comfort and sheltered? Help our own citizens for gods sake and forget about these criminals….
