Sen. Lindsey Graham on Friday accused Christine Blasey Ford’s lawyers of not telling her about an offer Republicans made to meet her in California to hear her testimony.

Graham spoke at a committee hearing a day after Ford, who accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault, told senators she was never aware that committee staff was willing to meet her in California to take her statement.

The article goes on to state the following:

Graham implied that her lawyers may have been working with Senate Democrats to avoid that outcome in order to drag out the nomination process.

“I about fell out of my chair when Dr. Ford said yesterday, ‘I didn’t know you would be willing to come to me,'” Graham said, noting the GOP’s offer to meet with her outside of Washington, D.C.

“Well, that wouldn’t fit in the plan,” he said of how the lawyers and Democrats may have reacted. “It would get over sooner than people wanted.”
