House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) repeatedly referred to longtime former Trump aide Hope Hicks as “Ms. Lewandowski” during a closed-door hearing this week.

The 273-page transcript of Hicks’ testimony, which was released Thursday night, reveals that Nadler referred to her by the last name of former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, before apologizing.

The article goes on to state the following:

After she introduced herself at the start of the interview as “Hope Hicks,” Nadler called her “Ms. Lewandowski” three times before Hicks interrupted to correct him, according to the transcript.

“Yeah. Ms. Lewandowski, I think, in reading this —“

“My name is Ms. Hicks,” she said.

“I’m sorry, Ms. Hicks,” Nadler replied. “I’m preoccupied.”

In a separate report the Washington Examiner stated that Democrats “appeared to fixate on former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, whom Hicks was rumored to have dated during the 2016 campaign.” Throughout the session, Lewandowski’s name was mentioned 68 times, the Washington Examiner noted.
