New information has come forth regarding the U.S.-led airstrike in Mosul, Iraq in March that killed over 100 civilians.

Investigating officer U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Matthew Isler told reporters at the Pentagon that ISIS actually lured the U.S.-led forces into conducting the airstrike, and had rigged a house with over 1,000 pounds of explosives after putting civilians in the basement.

The terrorists then had two of their own snipers on the roof top to bait the coalition into attacking the location.

Fox News reported that Isler said the GBU-38, a 500-pound bomb, would never have caused that level of destruction to the building by itself.

After investigating the scene, it was discovered that the U.S. bomb set off secondary explosions from devices ISIS had planted in the basement of the building, which then killed the innocent civilians who had also been intentionally planted within the building.

Isler reported that the 30-inch concrete walls of the building were “completely pulverized,” but the GBU-38 bomb alone would never have even made a dent in the surrounding walls of the building.   It is only intended to take out snipers on roof tops.
