The article goes on to state the following:

…[I]t’s been just over a month since news broke that CNN settled with Nick Sandmann, the teenager at the center of the infamous Covington Catholic controversy, when the media swarmed upon a group of high school students after they had an encounter with Native American activist Nathan Philips.

Acosta’s tweet sparked reactions from some who pointed out the settlement.

Sean Davis with the Federalist wrote, “Your network was just forced to settle a nine-figure lawsuit for bullying a child.”

“[D]idn’t your network just settle a defamation lawsuit with a teenager?,” tweeted Becket Adams with the Washington Examiner.

Curtis Houck with News Busters tweeted a picture of CNN’s broadcast about the Sandmann encounter with Philips. The ticker declared, “Viral video of teens mocking Native American elder ignites outrage.”

Jessica Fletcher with the Daily Wire challenged Acosta, “Now do this.” She linked to a story about a 34-year-old man who attacked a 15-year-old Trump supporter.
