Multiple news sources reported Saturday evening that George Conway is in line to be nominated to head up the civil division at the Department of Justice.
Conway is the husband of Kellyanne Conway, President Trump’s former campaign manager and now senior White House adviser.
Mr. Conway is currently a partner at the law firm Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen and Katz, where he has worked for over 20 years, and is a graduate of Yale Law School.
If he lands the position, he would be responsible for defending the Trump administration against lawsuits, as well as defending Trump’s travel ban executive order, the Wall Street Journal reported.
