REPORT: Letter threatening shooting prompts evacuation of Dallas medical center building

A building in the UT Southwestern complex has been evacuated by hospital police after a letter threatening a shooting was discovered Monday morning.

Officials haven’t identified “immediate threats,” but the building was emptied as a precaution, according to a written statement from the hospital.

The article goes on to state the following:

UT Southwestern didn’t specify which building was evacuated. The hospital said its police force was investigating the threat and patrolling campus. 

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas confirmed on Twitter that no immediate threats have been identified.
