REPORT: Melania Trump tweets update following kidney procedure


In her first tweet since Mother’s Day and since her kidney surgery earlier this week, First Lady Melania Trump tweeted a message of thanks and included an update on how she is feeling.

Her tweet read: A sincere thank you to Walter Reed Medical Unit @WRBethesda & to all who have [sent] good wishes & prayers! I am feeling great & look forward to getting back home @WhiteHouse soon.

The first lady is recovering at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center outside of Washington after she underwent an embolization procedure on Monday for a “benign kidney condition.”

Melania Trump’s communications director, Stephanie Grisham, said the procedure was successful, and there were no complications. She is expected to remain in the hospital for the rest of the week.
