NBC News issued a correction after President Donald Trump slammed the network for its coverage of his remarks at a rally where he talked about Civil War generals Ulysses S. Grant and Robert E. Lee, charging the network with intentionally changing the meaning of his words.

‘NBC News has totally and purposely changed the point and meaning of my story about General Robert E Lee and General Ulysses Grant. Was actually a shoutout to warrior Grant and the great state in which he was born. As usual, dishonest reporting. Even mainstream media embarrassed!’ the president tweeted on Sunday morning.

The article goes on to state the following:

NBC News issued a correction on Sunday afternoon. “CORRECTION: An earlier tweet misidentified the general President Trump described as “incredible” at a rally in Ohio. It was Gen. Ulysses S. Grant, not Gen. Robert E. Lee. An attached video clip lacked the full context for Trump’s remark.”

  1. NBC should post a disclaimer after every news report: “Never Before Correct” so that the viewers understand what they just heard reported will most likely be retracted within the week.

  2. Lee was also incredible, if the south would of had the industrial might that the north had and been able to keep our ports open for trade with other countries, we would of won!! Just think about that! We were beating the crap, out of the union, for the first three years! Our fighting men included negro’s who fought along side whites. Unlike the north, where they were segregated! One other tidbit that not many people know, Lincoln told Jefferson Davis and the other leaders, that if the south didn’t secede from the union, the south could keep slaves, isn’t that thought provoking!

  3. Lee was a better General than Grant. Lee would probably have been a better President than Grant… !?|/…excuse me…Lee was from the side that did not win…we don’t do it that way in the United States…but…OH SHUT UP HILLARY!
