Republican lawmakers and White House staffers celebrated on social media after Special Counsel Robert Mueller exonerated President Trump from allegations that his 2016 campaign cooperated with Russian-backed operators to undermine the election.

The victory lap began just minutes after Attorney General William Barr issued a four-page letter summarizing the findings of Mueller’s nearly two-year-long probe, which found no evidence that Trump staffers worked with the Kremlin to defeat former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
