NBC NEWS is reporting that former President Obama warned President Donald Trump against hiring General Michael Flynn as his national security adviser.  NBC News is basing this claim on the word of three former Obama administration officials.

According to the report, the warning from Obama was given two days after Trump won the presidential election when the two men met in the Oval Office.

Allegedly, a senior Trump administration official acknowledged Monday that President Obama voiced his concerns about General Flynn, saying that Obama made it very clear to Trump that he was “not a fan of Michael Flynn.” Another official said Obama’s remark seemed like it was made in jest.

Obama fired Gen. Flynn in 2014 from his position as head of the Defense Intelligence Agency.

The revelation comes on a day that former acting Attorney General Sally Yates is expected to testify that Flynn misled the White House about his contacts with Russia’s ambassador to the United States.
