Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., isn’t an intern.
But she says people keep mistaking her for one.
The article goes on to state the following:
The 29-year-old liberal firebrand complained on Twitter Wednesday that during her first week on Capitol Hill, she has wrongly been given directions to events for spouses and interns instead of those for lawmakers themselves.
“People keep giving me directions to the spouse and intern events instead of the ones for members of Congress,” she tweeted.
People keep giving me directions to the spouse and intern events instead of the ones for members of Congress 🤦🏽♀️

I agree that’s screwed up, but you need to stop. Too many of your tweets are of the “nobody respects me” nature. When that happens to me, albeit on a smaller scale, I let it roll off my back. Keep working hard without the complaining and the respect will come.

I concur. What a terrible start to what should be an honorable career. So far, all I see out of this millennial is the same “I’m entitled” BS

I think that it’s not b/c of your age but rather b/c you come across as completely inexperienced, lack of maturity and common sense. I don’t care how old you. I’ve heard you speak. You play to the heart but fall way short on logic, reason, and common sense.

We all reap what we sow. Show respect you will more likely receive respect.

Could be that when you high five protesters outside a fellow congresswoman’s office people are reluctant to take you seriously.
