Senate Judiciary Committee lawmakers are “no closer to hearing” from the woman who accused Judge Brett Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her more than 30 years ago, according to a senior Republican.

Chairman Chuck Grassley gave Christine Blasey Ford a 2:30 p.m. Saturday deadline to accept his invitation to appear before the committee next Wednesday, following days of back-and-forth over the timing and conditions under which she might discuss her allegation about Kavanaugh. Her legal team accepted the invitation, but made clear they still want to negotiate the terms, drawing complaints from Republicans.

The article goes on to state the following:

“[T]his is exactly where we were on Monday morning,” Sen. Orrin Hatch’s team tweeted in response. “[W]ithout agreeing to a date, time and terms we are no closer to hearing from Dr Ford [than] we were when her lawyers said Dr. Ford was willing to testify during their media tour [ . . .] six days ago.”

Below is the barrage of Twitter posts Hatch blasted out early Saturday, as he laid out lawmakers’ frustrations over trying to accommodate Ford so she will be willing to testify regarding her allegations.

  1. Nothing but stalling tactics. The senate should call for a vote now and be done with it,. Dems, will run on impeaching the rapists (because that’s who they are). It’s all about getting out the vote in November. Vote Red even if you have to hold your nose. the worst republican is better than a democrat.

  2. Extending the entire thing past the Monday date was a ridiculous thing to do. The woman initially said she would “do anything” to get her story told. It is all a political ploy and it shows in the trail of people involved and the time line for the allegations being revealed.

  3. SHOW UP OR SHUT UP!!!!!
This dimbo has had enough time (35 year!!!) to air her dirty panties. PLUS an additional SIX YEARS when Kavanaugh came up for review by the FBI for other significant positions. Not even a waver in the outcome. He was FULLY Vetted when investigated.
You are a LIAR. Hope you are persecuted to the letter of the law (no, it wasn’t a mistake in verbiage). Hope he charges you with slander and libel and makes your miserable life more miserable, you SMARMY SKANK.
#MeToo is going to pay for your lies. REAL rape victims deserve better than a whiny teenybopper with unrequited looooveeee on her mind.
