Just days before he was arrested by the FBI in July, recently indicted former Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos put out a call for advice on LinkedIn: “Congressional run: thoughts.”
Multiple interviews with the FBI didn’t dissuade him from thinking about his next career move, and even after his arrest, as recently as October, Papadopoulos put calls out on LinkedIn that hinted at a possible run for office.
The FBI had been interviewing the 30-year-old foreign policy adviser to Trump since January, but the investigation did not deter him from plotting his next career move.
Then in mid-October, around the time he pleaded guilty to making false statements to the FBI, he posted again on LinkedIn and asked for recommendations of publishers.
“Interested in meeting with a prominent publisher. Recommendations welcome,” he wrote in mid-October.
Then, just one week ago, he asked for “speaker bureau recommendations.”
