Pelosi told an audience in London she’s had to hold some hard conversations with her new faction of ultra-progressive firebrands led by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., about the need to maintain appeal to voters in centrist districts who would not embrace Medicare for All or the Green New Deal.

“This is about winning,” Pelosi told the London School of Economics and Political Science. “When we have to go into the districts we have to win, we have to cull that to what we have in common with those people.”

The article goes on to state the following:

  1. That would make such a good billboard – Nancy Pelosi “I believe like AOC believes, but we cannot talk like that because the districts we won were down the middle…and this is about WINNING so we will SAY what we need to say to win and THEN we can show our true selves” – makes my heart beat faster just thinking about how underhanded that is.

  2. NO. it isn’t about Democrats winning, it is about the people they are supposed to represent winning by not having their money confiscated for crazy ideas like the Green Deal, and certainly not socialized medicine and socialism itself.
