A Facebook post by a Louisiana police officer suggesting that Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez “needs a round” drew criticism on Sunday from officials in the city where he works.

The officer, Charlie Rispoli, a 14-year veteran of the police department in Gretna, La., referred to Ms. Ocasio-Cortez, Democrat of New York, in a post on Thursday as “this vile idiot.”

The article goes on to state the following:

The post continued, saying she “needs a round — and I don’t mean the kind she used to serve,” a reference to her past work as a bartender, according to a screenshot of his comment obtained by nola.com, which covers New Orleans.

NOLA reports:

The comment, which alludes to the freshman Democrat’s past work as a New York City bartender while apparently saying she should be shot, comes amid increasing scrutiny of racist and violent social media posts by police officers in departments across the country.

Charlie Rispoli, who has been on the Gretna police force since 2005, could not be reached for comment, but Chief Arthur Lawson called the post “disturbing” when it was shown to him Friday.

“I will tell you this: This will not go unchecked,” Lawson said. “I’m not going to take this lightly and this will be dealt with on our end. It’s not something we want someone that’s affiliated with our department to make these types of statements. That’s not going to happen.”

  1. He is only saying what he thinks. That is a big difference than telling someone to harm someone else. I believe she and the other 3 need removed from office!! Those women are embarrassments and Omar needs to be sent back where she came from. She is disgusting liar and cheat!

  2. AOC said that “soldiers are payed too much”. Who is she kidding!? Politicians are payed WAY too much and they don’t put their lives on the line for the American people like “soldiers” do every day! When I was in the military I barely made enough to get by. Those “soldiers” make it possible for her to say the stupid and vile things she says and does. She should be giving THEM kickbacks!
    SHE IS SO ANTI AMERICAN!!
