The Washington Post reported on Thursday that Robert Mueller is now investigating the business activity of White House advisor Jared Kushner.   The Washington Post listed their sources as “officials familiar with the probe.”

According to the report, Special Counsel Mueller is focused on the finances and business dealings of the president’s son-in-law.

Kushner is not alone.  Mueller and team are also looking in the business activity of General Michael Flynn, former campaign chairman Paul Manafort, and Trump campaign advisor, Carter Page.

Kushner’s lawyer, Jamie Gorelick told the Washington Post, “We do not know what this report refers to.”  He continued, “It would be standard practice for the Special Counsel to examine financial records to look for anything related to Russia. Mr. Kushner previously volunteered to share with Congress what he knows about Russia-related matters. He will do the same if he is contacted in connection with any other inquiry.”

Kushner was a person of interest in the FBI’s investigation.  The FBI specifically looked at his relationship with a Russian businessman and Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.
