According to the New York Times, embattled FBI Director James Comey has been asked by President Trump to stay with the agency.
The New York Times writes: “James B. Comey, told his top agents from around the country that he had been asked by President Trump to stay on the job running the federal government’s top law enforcement agency, according to people familiar with the matter.”
The White House has yet to confirm the report.
Prior to the election, Donald Trump ripped the F.B.I. for suggesting the DOJ not bring criminal charges against Hillary Clinton in connection with her use of a personal email server. Post election victory, Trump said he had not made his decision about keeping Comey.
