Reports have surfaced claiming President Trump was not happy with White House spokesman Sean Spicer for saying Kellyanne Conway was “counseled” on the topic of Ivanka Trump’s fashion brand.
Reportedly, the Associated Press (AP) was tipped off by an insider that Trump felt Spicer’s comments were “unfair” to Conway.
Conway received criticism on Thursday when she defended Ivanka Trump’s brand following Nordstrom’s decision to no longer sell her products.

“Go buy Ivanka’s stuff, is what I would tell you,” Conway said. “I’m going to give it a free commercial here. Go buy it today.”
In a White House briefing, Spicer told reporters, “Kellyanne has been counseled, and that’s all we are going to go with. She’s been counseled on the subject, and that’s it.”
The source apparently told the AP that Trump felt Spicer’s comments made it seem like the White House was not happy with Conway.
In an interview with Fox News on Thursday evening, Conway told host Martha McCullum that President Trump met with her about the incident. “I have no comment regrading this matter, but I do wish everyone had a boss that treated them like President Trump treated me today,” said Conway. It appears Conway remains in great standing with the president.
