Eagle-eyed Twitter users noticed that President Trump appeared to have incorrectly colored the American flag during a visit to an Ohio children’s hospital on Friday.

Secretary of Health and Human Services Alex Azar tweeted a series of photos from Trump and first lady Melania Trump’s trip to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

One of the photos features the president, surrounded by children, coloring a photo of the American flag.

The article goes on to state the following:

The drawing lying on the table in front of Trump, however, shows stripes colored red and blue, rather than red and white.

The alleged error was pointed out by users on Twitter, some of whom used the photo to criticize Trump’s opposition to NFL players who kneel during the national anthem in protest of police brutality and racial inequality.

Trump literally doesn’t know what the American Flag looks like, but think’s he has the right to tell people that they can not kneel during the National Anthem…,” one Twitter user said Saturday.

  1. If I was sitting down with a bunch of small kids to color for 5 minutes, I really wouldn’t care what color I was coloring it. I think he’d just picked up any crayon, not paying attention to it & just started coloring it. Zeesh. It’s just a photo op.
