Rob Goldstone, the controversial publicist who organized the infamous June 2016 meeting between Donald Trump Jr. and Kremlin linked Russian officials, is behaving like someone who fears for their life.

Goldstone, a PR man for recording artists, should’ve stuck with his day job. Now, amidst an international scandal between two of the most powerful governments in the world, Goldstone is in well over his head, and knows it.

The publicist has embarked on an extravagant international vacation that observers are characterizing as “hiding in plain sight.” Goldstone’s social media activity shows that in the last month he’s been through Venice, Croatia, Montenegro, and Greece. Presently, he’s believed to be on a ship across the Mediterranean with his lover, David Wilson.

Goldstone’s friend, Geoff Baker, told The Express that broadcasting his whereabouts are a ploy by Goldstone to let the world know its no accident if he dies.

“I believe the reason he’s being so blatantly transparent about his whereabouts is that, if anything does happen to him – like a car crash or being stabbed by a poison-tipped umbrella – everyone will know his death was no accident,” Baker told the newspaper.

It’s unclear who Goldstone thinks wants to kill him, but with the Kremlin involved, nothing is off limits. When Donald Trump Jr. released his email chain with the publicist, it showed the world the extent to which Goldstone was involved.

Goldstone, founder of Oui 2 Entertainment in New York, emailed Donald Trump Jr. on June 3, 2016, writing, “the Crown prosecutor of Russia met with his (Emin’s) father Aras this morning and in their meeting offered to provide the Trump campaign with some useful documents and information that would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia and would be very useful to your father.”

Baker thinks his friend’s choice to live a life on the run is a good call.

“If I were him, I’d never go back to New York and I’d certainly never set foot in Russia again,” Baker told The Express. “Knowing him as I do, I think he’ll end up back in Britain or, if he feels threatened, he’ll ask for protection at the nearest British embassy.”

And Goldstone doesn’t seem to have any allies at his former company, as his website is making no secret of his involvement in the Trump campaign incident.  The company has posted a link on its Facebook page that leads viewers to a report on Goldstone’s “Pivotal Role in the Donald Trump Jr. Scandal.”
